Welcome to Trawden Online

Trawden is a small village in the BB8 area of Lancashire.  It borders Bronte Country and is situated between Colne & the 1700ft Boulsworth Hill.  It is about 700+ acres in size and comprises of approximately 1300 dwellings. The Forest Of Trawden (Trawden, Winewall and Wycoller) has a varied history of hunting, coal mining, agriculture and cotton weaving.  This website was conceived and is maintained by the people of Trawden for the benefit of the community and its visitors. It aims to show the history of the area and keep everyone informed about what's happened, what is happening and what's planned for the future. If you have any comments or contributions, then please contact the editor or drop into one of our regular, informal meetings.
